What CityDataLab collects when you visit, and how to change your choice.

CityDataLab is run by Raphos. If you have a question about this page or your data, use the contact form.
We use Google Analytics 4 to see which pages are useful. It only sets cookies if you click Accept on the cookie banner. If you click Reject, or haven't chosen yet, Google Analytics sends cookieless pings instead. These are basic page views and events with no cookie and no identifier stored on your device. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a refusal and don't show the banner.
Google processes this data for us. See Google's privacy policy and how Google uses data from sites that use its services.
Two settings are kept in your browser's local storage and never sent to us: your cookie choice (cdl:analytics-consent) and the last city you looked at (cdl:lastCity), so the menu opens on it next time. Clearing your browser's site data removes both.
If you use the contact form, your name, email address and message are sent through Netlify Forms (our host) so we can reply. We don't use them for anything else.
CityDataLab shows no ads, has no advertising cookies and doesn't sell or share your data with advertisers.
Pages load fonts and chart libraries from Google Fonts, cdnjs and jsDelivr. Like any website, these services and our host Netlify see your IP address when your browser fetches files from them.
